Dear Mom,

When I call, you answer

Regardless of what’s happening in your own universe.

All I’ve ever needed, you’ve broken your back to give me.

I only have to say a few words before you’re by my side.

I’m still learning to handle the slightest inconvenience without first reaching for my cell-phone to call you.

Every shift in normality begs me inform you.

You’re the epitome of strength.

I’m unlearning the bad habits you and I both share.

You’ve taught me so much about love through your actions.

You’ve taught me so much about love through your sacrifice.

You’ve taught me so much about love through your affirmations.

I appreciate you allowing my journey through life to teach you things.

I enjoy learning and healing with you.

You’ve taught me a lot about love, life, sacrifice and growth.

Thank you mom.

Thank you for all you’ve taught me.
