Happy Self-Love Sunday!!!

Today’s post is about the importance of taking time for one’s self. Last week I began my penultimate semester in undergrad and I’m soooooooooo excited yet extremely overwhelmed already. I’m an overachiever so of course I added two extra classes that I definitely don’t need to take in order to graduate. I’m also working 8 hour work days twice a week, attending 2 hour rehearsals 3 times a week and practicing with my volleyball team twice a day. With all that in mind, I noticed that I needed to take time for myself at least once a week. Last Sunday was the first Sunday there was no Self-Love Sunday post because I spent the day resting and relaxing.

I can’t promote Self-Love and not take note of my own words.

The purpose of a Mental Health Day is to allow yourself the time you need to refocus, relax and rejuvenate. No one is meant to go go go go 100% of the time. Maybe you don’t need 24 hours the way I did but don’t forget to take time for yourself. Your health is just as important as all of the others problems you have to solve on a daily basis. From now on, I will most likely be posting once a week instead of twice.

Making appropriate adjustments to one’s life is an important part of one’s Self-Love Journey. What adjustments are you making for your own good?
