Who told us we don’t measure up and why do we continue to listen to their lies?
Are we standing at the measuring tape, waiting to reach the height that aligns itself with adequacy?
What is enough?
When do I know that I’ve given enough?
How can I tell that I am enough?
Or will I keep living my life, in search of the ability to measure up?
Will I ever feel satisfied?
Will I ever be enough?
If you resonate with the questions above, I have a few questions I’d like to add to the conversation.
If you are the only version of yourself, are you not already perfectly you?
If each day you strive to be a better version of yourself, are you not the best ‘you’ to walk the earth?
If adequacy is determined by one’s ability to measure up and you are the only ‘you’ in the equation, aren’t you adequate by definition?
Does it matter if I remind you that you’re enough?
Will you believe me if I say that you have what it takes?
Inadequacy is something you’ve been conditioned to align yourself with for whatever reason.
Today, I want you to know that you are enough.
You are adequate.
You are capable.
You are here for a reason, don’t allow the feeling of inadequacy to stifle you.
Happy Self-Love Sunday!
Have an amazing week
