Happy Self-Love Sunday!
Welcome to a new year and the continuation of a beautiful journey of Self-Love!
Today is THE very first Self-Love Sunday of 2020, so it’s only right to begin with affirmations:
- This journey is worthy of praise, regardless of where you are right now.
- You are worthy of love, especially the love that you cultivate and freely give to yourself.
Last year was a very amazing year for me, not because I didn’t experience any negativity, fear or sadness but because I accomplished and overcame so much.
With the help of supportive family members and friends I ventured to heal broken relationship and find the source of hurt in my life.
Therapy opened doors for me that I never expected.
This year was extremely difficult, but it was soo very necessary.
I’m so amazed at what focus, intention, perseverance, faith and consistency can accomplish.
A lot of things were thrown at me this year from difficult relationships to the ripping apart of old wounds but the mere fact that I’m stronger than I’ve ever been tells me that this journey, though difficult and overwhelming (at times), is a worthy endeavor.
Searching for both peace and ways to love myself better have led me down a path I wouldn’t stray from for anything in this world.
At times, I feel selfish for putting myself first for the very first time in my life but I have to remind myself that I am worthy of the love I give myself.
Learning to say “no” and “you trigger the parts of me that haven’t yet healed”, has been extremely beneficial.
This year I plan to continue having difficult conversations and forgiving myself for the mistakes that have hurt other people.
I’m not perfect, far from it, but I’m learning more and more about myself every single day and I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything else in the world.
Happy Self-Love Sunday everyone!
Enjoy the New Year and continue to learn, love, grow and forgive.
You are worthy of all the love this year has in store for you.
