I found a note in my phone from January 14, 2016. I don't quite remember what situation I was writing about but I still resonate with the words of my 19 year-old self. I hope these words speak to you the way they spoke to me today.
Since life ebbs and flows, an opportunity to reflect is what we need to remind us of how far we've come. Unfair expectations and unmet goals can make us feel like failures but progress, whether large or small is still progress and we should be grateful for it.

A huge part of my Self-Love Journey has been intentionally setting time aside to give myself exactly what I need. It doesn't necessarily make life easier but it ensures that I'm better equipped to handle and endure the hard times.
