2024 Reading Challenge: September

September was exhausting (hence the very late monthly post). In 30 days, I finished 7 books, that’s about one book every 4 days. September was a super packed month for me, I celebrated my one-year wedding anniversary, my brother’s birthday and my birthday as well.

I read:

one book I didn’t rate,

two 3-star books,

one 3.75-star book,

one 4.5-star book,

one 5-star book and

one 6-star book.

I read two library books, listened to one book on Libby, purchased two books and reread two books I already owned.

As I stand at the end of the very first week of October, I know it’ll be a miracle if this post goes live within the next 24 hours. I am utterly, unequivocally, deeply exhausted.

Here are some affirmations I need to read & believe, just in case you need them as well (take it if you need it, leave it if you don’t).

You are enough.

This is only a season.

You are strong.

You are resilient.

You are deserving of good things.

You deserve to rest.

You are not alone, even when you feel utterly alone.

You can escape the toxic wasteland that is your mind.

You are here for a reason.

Here are the books I read in September and my brief thoughts on them.

  • 75. Beautiful Villain by Rebecca F. Kennedy 3 ️stars: cute, I didn’t hate it…I kind of liked it
  • 76. Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert 3.75 stars: cute, beautiful, practical and spicy
  • 77. The Fine Print by Lauren Asher 3 stars: ️ her writing is so simple and straight to the point, wasn’t rooting for their love; snore
  • 78. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sara J Maas 5 stars: ️ This is my jam!! We know this! So glad I’m rereading my favorite series
  • 79. Wild Love by Elsie Silver-no rating: I honestly don’t remember reading this book, I didn’t write a review right when I finished it. I had the kindle version, then I bought the book then I listened to the audiobook. Finishing this book was an uphill battle. I don’t think I’m a fan of the pacing or maybe I’m in a slump…no idea
  • 80. You’d Look Better as a Ghost 4.5 ️stars: I looooovveeedd it! How was I rooting for the serial killer the whole time? It definitely kept me on my toes and it was hilarious at all the right times
  • 81. A Court of Mist and Fury 6 stars: ️ I forgot this book eats but it freaking eats!! So twisty, so enthralling, so many moments where I thought my heart would beat out of my chest! Love it!

Toodles! See ya next month!
