Hiya! Hello! Howdy!
This month I want to present my monthly reads in a completely different way. So, in my Sabrina Carpenter voice “please, please, please” let me know what you think of this new format!
In the beautifully sunny and blazing hot month of July, I read 15 books and DNF’d 1 book.
In July I read,
6 Romances
4 Historical Fictions/Fictions
3 Romantasies/Fantasies
2 Non-fictions
In 31 days, I consumed 5,006 pages which is an average of 161 pages each day
I bought 2 out of 15 of the books I consumed in July. 9 out of the 15 books were audiobooks I borrowed from Libby. 4 out of the 15 books were library books from my local library.
I read 6 physical books and listened to 11 audiobooks.
The longest book I consumed in July is Love Unwritten by Lauren Asher (#2 of the Lakefront Billionaires series) which is a whopping 551 pages. I borrowed it from the library and took 5 days to read it which is, on average, 110 pages a day. I rated this book 3/5 stars and this book has an average Goodreads rating of 4.15/5 stars. This was a really fast read for me and it was cute. Our love interest and the other half of the dual-POV, Rafael Lopez is SUPER grumpy *we love a grumpy billionaire single dad trope*. The other POV is the lovely Ellie Sinclair who is the definition of a hopeless romantic. The author, Asher, does a phenomenal job of creating characters with depth as she guides us through their budding love story. I liked it a lot!
The shortest book I consumed in July is Powerful by Lauren Roberts (#1.5 in the Powerless Trilogy) which I listened to on the Libby app for 3 days. I rated this book 3.25/5 stars and it has an average Goodreads rating of 4.18/5 stars. This book left me wanting more, which is most likely the intention, however, I wanted more. I loved that Adena was given her own complex love story, but the ending left me feeling undone.
